Classic Italian dishes enlivened with modern techniques and bold flavors.
serving since 1969
With humble yet ambitious beginnings in the mountain towns of Calabria, Francesco Bastone spent his childhood working on the family farm alongside his father. A passion for food and a drive for success motivated Francesco to relocate to America, and over fifty years later his legacy lives through The Pine; a quintessential Italian restaurant in the heart of the Bronx. Famous for its Chicken Parm, Nonna’s Meatballs, and Frank’s Ragu, The Pine celebrates the classic Italian dishes that its founders were raised on in a lively, vibrant neighborhood setting. There is no better place to gather, whether it be for a large family-style meal or to celebrate in style with a large family event. Taking cues from the legacy of the neighborhood along with Italian influence, the restaurant has established itself as a landmark known throughout the tri-state area.

customer reviews and testimonials
happy and appreciative
We had a post funeral brunch. They were short one server, and performed as if they had a full staff. The appetizers, entrees, fresh fruit salad and white sangria were delicious. We had a group of 18 and wait-staff was very attentive and professional. There were several non fish eaters, and they raved about how delicious the salmon tasted! Staff packed leftovers and everyone was happy and appreciative.
highly recommend this restaurant
I just celebrated my brother 50 birthday. The manager Danielle was totally amazing, checking constantly everything was ok. The waitress were great. Food it was amazing, from appetizer to dessert. Danielle thank you so much for all you did! I highly recommend this restaurant.

CONSISTENTLY DELICIOUSGreat food, great service. We come here all the time. Always a good time.
THE BEST VEAL HANDS DOWNMy father dines here all the time. He is 90 years old. In better health than me! He drives from Hudson Valley with friends of his, and finally I got his leftovers! OMG the best veal hands down. Anything else is just an imposter. Hopefully I get to try the Zuppa di Pesce next.
I'LL BE BACK AGAIN SOON!The staff was very courteous and helpful. The food is delicious and the wine which I liked very much kept coming. This venue is clean, comfortable, and works to please the customers. I would highly recommend F&J Pine Restaurant and will certainly be booking again.
